Dr.
Ledersnaider is the Principal and CEO of Advance Solutions, int.
Dr. Ledersnaider has over 20 years of experience as an educator
and operations, information systems and engineering consultant.
He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial & Operations Engineering from
the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor; a Master's degree in Applied
Statistics from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, a Master
of Science in Operational Research from the University of Southampton
- England; and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University de
Los Andes - Colombia.
Dr. Ledersnaider specializes in operations redesign, information
technology deployment and strategic cost management in the healthcare
and related industries. He has extensive experience in the design
and implementation of hospital-wide reengineering, quality, information
technology and operational improvement efforts.
Other positions include, Administrative Director at an 800 beds
hospital and medical center in charge of all operational improvement
activities, the pathology and laboratory medicine division, and
the equipment processing, distribution and patient escorts departments;
Director of Operational Improvement for a 450 bed hospital; Internal
Consultant for a university medical center; and Professor and
Undergraduate Program Coordinator of the industrial engineering
department at the University de Los Andes, Colombia.
Dr. Ledersnaider has written many articles and case studies on
patient-focused care, flexible staffing and core scheduling models,
and simulation modeling and cost effectiveness of care. He is
an active member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, the
Society for Health Systems and the American Society for Quality.
Dr. Ledersnaider is a frequent speaker throughout the U.S. and
South America on information technology, health care and operational
topics.
